Federal Credit Bank for Reconstruction (Deutsche Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) - Frankfurt, Germany

The KfW is a banking facility for the support of building and reconstruction projects in Germany and worldwide. The KfW has completely renovated their premises in the famous old town quarter of Frankfurt am Main, and it was fittingly decided to erect a solar roof on this marvelous new building to symbolize the support of renewable energy sources.

The building is composed of two arcades, East and West. The solar roof is located in the East Arcade.

Engcotec won the contract for the 65 kW photovoltaic installation in the East Arcade. There are 508 mono-crystalline solar modules on the roof, all connected to the city's central electricity grid. Excess energy is therefore made available to the Frankfurt population.
